    When to send

Send to anyone who hasn't opened in 60โ€“90 days. Email 1 on a Tuesday morning, email 2 exactly 5โ€“7 days later. After the sequence, suppress non-openers, keeping cold subscribers hurts deliverability for the rest of your list.

    Common mistakes to avoid

    • Re-engaging too soon. Don't run this on 30-day inactives, they're not actually disengaged yet.
    • Offering a discount in email 1. You're confirming they only stayed for the deal.
    • Forgetting to suppress non-responders. The whole point is list hygiene.
    • Sending from a 'noreply@' address. Re-engagement is the most replyable email you'll ever send.
    • Including 6 links and a graphic. Keep it text-only and personal.
